2/2 Portal - Numerology

2 is the number of Duality. It is the first opposition to our individuality. It is the Yin to our yang. The soil to our seed. The egg to the sperm.  2 takes the spark, intention and inspiration of the 1 and prepares it and molds it to become something more in the process that moves us toward manifestation.

2 is all about balance and opposites. It reminds us that life must have death and death must have life. That each day cycle consists of day and night.  That we are both spirit and human.  2 shows us that though the pairs in our life  experience appear opposite and opposing, they are in fact the same energy. The 2 sides of one coin. One could not exist without the other and we must find balance between these 2 energies in order to create and thrive.

2 encourages us to rest and integrate. After the inspiration and action energy of the number 1, we need a time of stillness and reflection to prepare for how we are going to move forward with what we want to create. If we are all action, we will quickly burnout and lose motivation. So the number 2 reminds us of the importance of the inner cultivation that happens through rest and integration. This is as important in the creative process as the action of doing.

When we find the balance of flow between doing and being, action and rest, work and play, outward expression and inner reflection, speaking and listening, we achieve harmony in our life and find a healthy flow that allows us to live life in a holistic way.  Balance is the key to all creation. The whole of our existence is based on it. When we live in extremes of 1 side or another, we invite in illness and situations that force us to restore balance. This is why finding that rhythm for ourselves is so important.

The 2/2 portal offers us a chance to work with this energy of the number 2 by spending time in reflection, giving space to listen, and allowing ourselves to rest. This is a time to prepare for what we wish to create by rejuvenating our energy.

2 is also the number of our intuition. It reminds us that allowing the time and space to tap into our intuitive guidance can give us insight into the next step in our creation. To really hear this guidance though, we must slow down and be still. We need to surrender, trust, and be patient with how things are unfolding without the need to force and push so we can observe the signals we are recieving and when the moment is right, then take action.

Life is both intention and surrender. Learning to navigate between these 2 energies of when to push and when to hold back will determine our success. With the number 2 vibration we are asked now to surrender and wait after our initial action and force and to see that this has equal value in the process of creation.

Ultimately 2 is teaching us the equality of differences. Life is not better the death. Day is not better then night. Male is not better then female. All energies are equal even if they are different in their expression because one could not exist with out the other. And the totality of what is created in our world relies on both energies existing and being in balanced harmony.  Duality is an illusion that traps us in a belief that we are different in unequal ways. That things are right or wrong. Good or bad. This or that.  Equality is knowing that these differences are energetically equal and the same. That we are an expression of all dual energies and not just one or the other.
