The World - Tarot

Peace, harmony and acceptance. The World indicates that a cycle now comes to a close. A journey has ended. Now is a time for rest, reflection and rejuvenation as we prepare for what will come next.

The World is here to show us that we have completed a significant cycle of learning, healing, growth, creativity and challenge. We have come as far as we can go on this current path and now, we must rest and wait for a new cycle to begin.

However, this rest is not completely idle. What we are asked to do to truly bring this energy to a close, is to make peace with this last journey and to come into acceptance with what was and what was not. To evaluate our journey from a perspective that allows us to objectively see everything that has brought us to this point and to accept all parts, good and bad as part of the whole. Only in this acceptance will we truly find peace and this peace is key in moving forward if we want to be able to begin the next cycle truly free.

This is a curial moment to leave behind all regret, resentment, guilt, and shame. There is no room for us to carry forward the should of, could of, would of. In this moment we are granted a time to cultivate peace spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically so that we may find harmony and balance on all levels before we are whisked away on new adventures.  This moment of pause is a gift to assess, integrate and accept the last journey for all that it was and what it wasn't before finally turning away and never looking back.

A little bit of patience is required here as we often tend to, in this moment of The World, want to rush into what's next.  However, if we can see the peace this moment offers us, we will see that The World is allowing us a brief moment to catch up with ourselves before we are overwhelmed with a the new that awaits us on the other side.

On another level, The World represents us finding our place with in it. It is the realization that we have a home here in this vast landscape of time and space and that we have an intricate part to play within it. The World is us making peace with who we are and what we came here to be and do. The World is when we know without a doubt that we fit in and belong in this crazy world and comes up when we finally get this and accept this.

The World is when we come back home to ourselves certain of who we are and accepting of all the experiences that have shaped us. We may have run, hid and tried to escape ourselves in the past, but The World is us coming back full circle to who we have always been, only now we are truly ready to fully embrace and honor this.

The World is our home inside and out. It is the understanding that we are one with the universe and not separate from it. It is the reflection of all that exists in this universe and mirrors to us all that is within us.  We are the world, the universe, and the cosmos, all in one. All living energy exists within us, and we exist within all living energy around us. When we truly get this and honor this, we see our life is an expression of all that was, is and shall be. Never have we been separate from these things and The World celebrates our finding of this truth of Oneness.

From The Fool we started as nothing. An empty vessel beginning on the path of self-discovery and realization.   The World is the completion of this journey. It is when we have realized that we are already everything we have been looking for. We are complete and whole just as we are. This journey has been about coming back to ourselves. Coming home again and knowing we have always been there; we just needed to see it and feel it in such a way where we actually know and believe this. The Journey has brought us through the experiences needed to come to this realization. The World is our victory and the completion of this journey of self-actualization. It is here we find an all-encompassing peace as we accept ourselves completely as we are and accept the world completely as it is. From here, we then open to a new journey and adventure that will take us to a whole new level of life and experience.

From the Fool and back again, this ride is never ending and always evolving.
