6 of Swords - Tarot

The 6 of Swords is an energy of clarity, certainty and aligned truth. After we have passed through the conflict of the 5, the 6 of Swords shows us the path forward and encourages us to get moving in this new direction. This path forward is that which resonates with our truth on all levels: our mind, our heart and our spirit.

Conflict can both help and hinder us. When we are in the middle of conflict, we don’t always see clearly what purpose it serves. However, on the other side of this we can see that this energy, though disruptive, was helping us to see flaws in our truth and plans so that we could redirect our energy in healthier ways.

When the 6 of Swords comes up, we are being reassured that we have now successfully passed through the conflict and are moving in the right direction. Obstacles have been cleared from our path and we are aligned once again with the energies that are guiding us. It is easy now to see the way forward and to move away from the energies that had us stuck and stagnant.

The 6 of Swords gives us a sense of renewed purpose as we now see clearly where we want to go and find that the way is open for us. We have a deep sense of certainty that there is no going back, and the only way is forward. There is no reason to hesitate because our vision shows us exactly what we need to do and how to do it.

This card is also known as a transitional card. While we are certain where we need to go and what we need to leave behind, what we cannot yet see is how things will be when we get to our destination. We are being asked here to trust that although we cannot yet know what will happen when we arrive, we can be certain that we are on the right path to getting there. We are encouraged to trust our mind, heart and spirit who all agree that where we are going is exactly where we are meant to be, and we will figure out the rest when we get there.
